Have you ever wondered what your baby is thinking?
Babies have the gift of curiosity and thirst for knowledge. What if you were able to understand what your baby was thinking about, and provide an enriching interaction based on that knowledge? The Baby Signs® Program allows you to do just that!
Babies can learn and use simple hand gestures, or sign language, to communicate what they need, what they want or what they see as young as 5 months old. Imagine if your 6 month old told you she wanted to nurse without crying, or your 11 month old told you he saw a dog across the street without grunting, or your 14 month told you the side walk was too hot for her bare feet without screaming! This basic ability to communicate before they can talk, gives babies a great boost to their self esteem, helps parents and caregivers appreciate the intelligence of their babies, and can dramatically reduce the frustration that parents and babies experience when communication is difficult. The founders of the Baby Signs® Program, Dr. Linda Acredolo and Dr. Susan Goodwyn, have completed intensive Research that demonstrates using signs with pre-verbal babies helps them learn to talk and gives them a jumpstart to their intellectual development in addition to other Benefits. Why not give your baby the gift of communication? Not sure how to get started? Baby Signs® Program offers parent workshops and play classes through Independent Certified Instructors across the country. These fun and interactive classes teach you everything you need to know to start signing with your baby, and give you the benefit of one-on-one consultation with an experienced instructor. Visit www.babysigns.com to find a certified instructor near you. Ask about our new program, On The Grow™, which offers fun and exciting classes for parents and children from birth to age 5. Can't find an instructor near you? |

The acoustically excellent sanctuary is located 1/2 mile west of the St. Louis Galleria on Clayton Road at McKnight Road (one mile north of the McKnight intersection of Highway 40/I-64). No tickets needed. There is a lighted, free, adjacent parking lot. It is not every band that has a mission beyond just steady giggin’, but then, as one of the longest-lasting acts around – with nine straight wins in the “Best Blues Band” category in a popular local poll, the Soulard Blues Band is not just any band. As bassist Art Dwyer says, “Our mission always is just to leave things around a little better than we found ‘em.” Performing in the Soulard Blues Band are: Marty Abdullah, vocalist; Kirk Grice, drums/percussion; Tom Maloney, guitar; Matt Murdick, piano; and Art Dwyer, bass. During the inspirational interlude between the band’s two acts, Dr. Stephen Jones, pastor of the church, will offer a brief, non-sectarian message. A free-will offering will be taken to benefit the musicians during the interlude. Refreshments will be served in the church’s narthex after the vespers. Parking is free in lighted lots surrounding the church. The next Vespers will be held on Sunday, January 17, 2010 with Reggie and Mardra Thomas. Check us out on
Facebook: St Louis Social Dynamics What if you knew the tools to remove the (CHANCE) of attracting a confident, adventurous, sexually charged partner in St Louis and had the ability to control exactly what you (WANTED) in your dating. How would this knowledge benefit you? For myself, dating was not something taught by reading the magazines at the checkout line, but by taking the advice of those who are successful around me. To gain the level of control in your dating, I want you to achieve a better sense of self by non-objective like minded individuals who are interested in expanding their dating knowledge and social networks. There is no right or wrong questions when it comes to today’s dating and my favorite quote puts it best, “The ultimate example of a person is that who knows what they don’t know, is willing to admit it and doesn’t want to leave until it’s understood.” Sitting nervously across from your date during a first encounter is no longer an option as you will have the confidence and ability to control the present moment. We are not a dating service, we are a community of like minded individuals who recognize the value of today’s resources taking our social networking and advanced field testing to offer you social exercises, communication building skills and most importantly of all positive results and it is through this formal invitation to the St Louis Social Dynamics group that I want you take the first step. • Location: St Louis

Art Happenings in St. Louis
The Haunting Works of Artist Aunia Kahn ST. LOUIS, October 25, 2009 - 'Our Intimate Perception,' a solo exhibition of work by artist Aunia Kahn will open at the Concrete Ocean Gallery, located at 2257 S. Jefferson Ave., with a free reception, November 6, from 6 p.m. - 10 p.m. The show will run through November. The multi-media art show will feature upwards of 24 original works by Kahn, some of her well-known, familiar pieces to some that will be exhibited for the first time anywhere. This is Aunia's first solo exhibition in the local St. Louis area since 2008 as demand for her work has been overwhelming on the national level. Kahn's work combines varying disciplines that result in a hybrid art form from which she designs and builds characters, non-existent places, dreams, illusions, fears and fables into creation. The work has been compared to movie-like stills, which hide away long stories within their visuals. Her work has been published in over 70 different outlets, from the cover of the St. Louis Sinner to magazines in Germany, Netherlands, Spain, Norway, Italy and the UK. "Often times I explore taboo and controversial subject matter to challenge the viewer, their understanding and preconceived notions, yet I try and connect through honest feeling and emotions." - Aunia Kahn All works will be for sale through the gallery. One of her artworks will be up for silent auction that will benefit Stray Rescue of St. Louis. For more information, call Concrete Ocean Gallery at 314-497-0199. • Location: Concrete Ocean Gallery
