Job TitleClient Accounting ManagerJob Description SummaryResponsible to provide leadership and supervision to accounting team members as well as to support operations and use quality judgment and discretion in applying accounting principles to the day-to-day processes and functions.Job Description Responsibilities Maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structureEnsure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end closeEnsure the timely reporting of all monthly financial informationMonitor and analyze department work and individual workloads in order to ensure appropriate use of resourcesEnsure a high level of accuracy and customer service is delivered by team membersEnsure timely reconciliation of all intercompany accounts and balancesMake recommendations for developing and improving accounting processesRespond to inquiries regarding special financial reporting requestsManage year-end audit processManage all periodic (monthly, quarterly, and annual) closings according to corporate deadlinesProvide direction, leadership, and training to the team on processes and controlsEnsure performance management, coaching, and development of team members through established HR processes Requirements Bachelor Degree 5+ years of accounting experienceOr any similar combination of education and experienceCPA preferredStrong knowledge of accounting or database software packagesStrong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; Advanced knowledge of Microsoft ExcelExceptional delegation skills, with the ability to be a hands-on contributorAbility to train, mentor, and coach othersResults oriented with a sense of urgencyAbility to analyze and problem solveEffective and efficient time management and organization skillsDetail oriented and thoroughProven record of providing excellent internal and external customer serviceExcellent oral and written communication skills in English Physical Requirements Involves work of a general office nature; typically includes extended periods of sitting and/or operation of a computerRegularly required to talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to write and typeAbility to speak clearly so others can understand youAbility to read and understand information and ideas presented orally and in writingAbility to communicate information and ideas in writing and orally so others will understandRegularly required to utilize vision abilities, allowing reading of printed material, graphics, and computer displays Cushman & Wakefield is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer.
